Obituary

John Michael Brady, 87, of Clifton, passed away July 30, 2022. Born in Newark, Mr. Brady was raised in Bloomfield. He has been a resident of Clifton since 1965. Before his retirement, Mr. Brady was employed as an electrician with AT&T in Clark.  Previously, he worked with Western Electric in Kearny. He was also a longtime member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers).

            Mr. Brady was a sports enthusiast. He enjoyed skiing, golf and fishing as well as watching his favorite teams play baseball and football. He also enjoyed travelling with his wife throughout the United States, Canada, Ireland and Scotland.  Mr. Brady was a parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle R. Church in Clifton and was a member of the Regina Mundi Knights of Columbus Council in Clifton.

            He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Brady; and his sister, Helen Brady.

            Survivors include: his beloved wife, Barbara (nee Warnecke) Brady; his son, John Michael Brady and his wife, Beth of Hawthorne, NJ; his daughter, Colleen Dautrich and her husband, Christopher of Dallas, PA; six grandchildren, Christopher Dautrich, Amanda Brady, Brady Dautrich, Kayla Brady, Emily Dautrich and Kate Dautrich; and his brother, James Brady of Cape May.

 

            Visitation will be held Friday from 3-7pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:15am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00am Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church, 400 Mount Prospect Avenue. Private cremation to follow.
