John Dufalla, 100, of Clifton, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020. Born in Grindstone, Pennsylvania, Mr. Dufalla was raised in Slovakia. He returned to the United States in 1947 settling in Pennsylvania. Mr. Dufalla has resided in Clifton since 1957.
Before retirement, Mr. Dufalla was employed by Forstmann Woolen Mills of Passaic for eleven years until their closing. He then worked for 26 years with Globe Products of Clifton as a cook. Mr. Dufalla was a member of a Bible Study Group based in Clifton.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary (nee Gernat) in 2001; one daughter, Christine LaConte in 1999; his brother, Michael Dufalla and his sister, Ann Evans.
Survivors include: his daughter, Mary Jane Condit and her husband, Peter of Wayne; three grandchildren, Kevin LaConte and his wife, Grace; Lauren Condit and Nathan Condit; three great-grandchildren, Angelina, Luca and Neva LaConte; and his son-in-law, Jim LaConte.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton. Due to current restrictions on allowable numbers inside the funeral home, it is requested that those attending the visitation be courteous by limiting their time inside in order to allow others the opportunity to pay their respects as well.
