John K. Senda

John K. Senda, 71, of Nutley, on May 9, 2024. Born in Passaic, John was raised in Paterson and Clifton. He has resided in Nutley for over 25 years. John was employed with ShopRite of Nutley on Franklin Avenue for over 30 years.

John was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post #105 of Belleville.  As an avid fan of baseball, John enjoyed rooting for his team, the New York Mets. John also enjoyed road trips to Lake George and Saratoga, New York as well as day trips to the Jersey Shore.

John was predeceased by his father, John J. Senda and one niece, Caitlin Carriere.

Survivors include: his mother, Lorraine Vassallo; his siblings, Mark W. Senda and his wife, Michele, Colleen Senda, Kathleen Vassallo, Diane Carriere and her husband, Michael and Kim Kiernan and her husband, Steven; his nieces and nephews, Mark R. Senda and his wife, Ashley, Janell Downs and her husband, Luke, Ross Senda, Laura Carriere, Amy Kiernan and Bobby Kiernan; and four great-nieces and great-nephews, Harrison, Harper, Josephine and Aurora.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 13, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by the interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, 295 Totowa Road, Totowa.
