John P. (Jack) McKenna, 79, of Clifton passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside on Thursday April 25, 2024.
Born in Jersey City, Mr. McKenna had resided in Clifton since 1952. Prior to retirement, he had been employed with Paschall Truck Lines of Murray, Kentucky as the Regional Vice President-Northeast. Mr. McKenna was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam War and was a member of American Legion Post #199 in Hawthorne. He was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church in Clifton.
Mr. McKenna was predeceased by his dearly missed parents: his mother Anne M. (nee Hricik) McKenna who passed away on January 4, 2010 and his father, John J. McKenna on July 15, 2011.
He is survived by his loved and caring wife, Patricia A. (nee Reddington) McKenna; his three devoted children: John Patrick McKenna and his wife, Kimberly, of Clifton, Brian James McKenna and his wife, Heather, of Upper Saddle River and Patricia Lynn O’Connor and her husband, Thomas, of Clifton; two dear siblings: Kevin McKenna and his wife, Carole and Kathy Lanza and her husband, William; and by his seven cherished grandchildren: Sloan, Shaye, Kailey, Grace, McKenna, Collin and Matthew.
Visiting will be Monday from 4-8pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Tuesday 9:15am from the funeral home and 10:00am at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, North Arlington.
