Joseph S. Fersch, 60, of Clifton, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024. Born in Passaic, Joe was a Clifton resident for all of his life. He graduated from Clifton High School and then worked for the Clifton Board of Education as a groundsman before his retirement.
Joe was the former president of the Hoboken Motorcycle Club and he held a license with the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). He was a generous uncle who was involved with all of his nieces and nephews in his own way.
He was predeceased by his father, Sebastian Fersch and his brother, James A. Fersch.
Survivors include: his beloved mother, Elizabeth (nee Schupp) Fersch; his sister, Caroline Vasta and her husband, Joseph P. Vasta; five nieces and nephews, Ashley Fersch, Joseph S. Vasta (Nicolette), Anthony M. Vasta (Bari), Kaitlyn Fersch, Nicholas J. Vasta; and his great-nephew, Cole Joseph Vasta.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 10:45 am from the funeral home followed by an 11:30 am Mass at Holy Family R.C. Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley.
