Joseph Urbanowski, Jr., a spirited and friendly soul, passed peacefully on March 26, 2026, in his hometown of Passaic, NJ. Born on July 21, 1962, his journey began in Passaic, where he was born to his loving parents, Joseph and Veronika (nee Kolpak) Urbanowski, who have predeceased him.
Joseph was a Wallington High School graduate. An ardent fan of the Washington Commanders and the New York Yankees, Joseph's love for sports was infectious. He could often be found cheering enthusiastically for his favorite teams, sharing his excitement and knowledge with friends and family alike. His spirited nature made watching games with him a joyful experience, as he brought energy and life to every moment.
In his professional life, Joseph dedicated himself to his role as a Warehouse Shipping Supervisor. Known for his diligence and strong work ethic. His dedication was not limited to his profession but extended to his involvement with the Bergenfield, NJ Elks Lodge 1477, where he was a valued member. The Elk’s Lodge was a place where Joseph could connect with others who shared his interests and values, and he was known for his spirited participation in the organization’s activities.
Family was of utmost importance to Joseph, and he cherished his relationships with them. He is survived by his devoted sister, Joanne T. Stolarz, who shared countless memories and moments with him. Joseph was also a beloved nephew to Frank and Cathy Kolpak, his uncle and aunt, who held a special place in his heart. He is reunited in heaven with his parents, Joseph and Veronika Urbanowski, and his brother-in-law, Douglas E. Stolarz, who preceded him in death.
Joseph will be remembered for his friendly and interesting nature, always ready with a story to share or a kind word to offer. His spirited enthusiasm for life was evident in everything he did, from his love of sports to his dedication to his faith and family. Those who knew him will forever remember his warm smile, his hearty laughter, and the genuine care he showed to all who crossed his path.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Elk service at 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 30, 2026 at 10:30 am from the funeral home. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
