Joseph Wojtowicz, 86, of Clifton, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Born in Passaic, Mr. Wojtowicz was raised in Clifton where he resided his entire life. He served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1958. He was then employed with the United States Postal Service first in Clifton before taking a position in Secaucus. Mr. Wojtowicz retired as a Manager from the Bulk Mail Center in Secaucus after 30 years of employment.
Mr. Wojtowicz was a faithful parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton. As an avid reader, he could be found most days at the Clifton Memorial Library or the Allwood Branch Library.
He was predeceased by one grandson, Andrew Wojtowicz; and his brother, Stanley Wojtowicz.
Survivors include: his beloved wife of 65 years, Gail (nee Kowalski); three devoted children, Michael Wojtowicz and his wife Deborah of Cedar Key, FL, Kathy Looney and her husband, Wayne of Verona, NJ and Lisa More and her husband, Chris of Wilmington, DE; his sister, Rosalyn Herinya and her husband Steve; his sister-in-law, Susan Wojtowicz; and six grandchildren, Christopher Looney and his wife, Emily, Nicholas Looney and his fiancé Emma, Sarah Steffin and her husband Danny, Alyssa More and her fiancé Jordan, Matthew Wojtowicz and Brady Wojtowicz.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Ridge Road, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clifton Public Library on their website, www.cliftonpl.org or by mail to 292 Piaget Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07011.
