Jozef Wyka, age 75 of Paterson NJ, passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2025 at the University Hospital in Newark.
A native of Poland, he completed his military service with the Polish Air Force and following his discharge, became the first member of his family to attend college. After earning a Master's Degree in Agricultural Biology, he spent several years managing large production plants for agribusiness companies, foreign and domestic.
Following his arrival in the United States, he attended school at night, earning his diploma from PCTI in Wayne, NJ. For many years he was employed by the Lamart Corporation in Clifton before taking early retirement in 1999.
A devout Catholic, he was a long-time parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Passaic and an active member of the parish Rosary Society.
Uncle Joe, as most family members called him, loved working in his tomato garden, reading and spending time with his three grandchildren.
Survived by his son Arthur, his daughter-in-law Magdalena, his granddaughters daughters Angela, Emilia and Alexandra, his former spouse Elzbieta as well as his younger brothers Stanislaw and Mieczyslaw and their families.
Predeceased by his parents Maria and Jakub, his younger brother Marian and his sister Krystyna who passed away in infancy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 7 Parker Avenue, Passaic, NJ 07055. Please meet at church.
