Julia Marchegiani, 94, of Clifton, passed away May 17, 2025 (two days before her 95th birthday). Born and raised in Paterson, Julia has resided in Clifton since her marriage in 1949. Before her retirement, she was employed as a cashier at Baskinger’s on Crooks Avenue in Clifton. She was a parishioner of St. Brendan R.C. Church in Clifton. Julia enjoyed listening to Irish music.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rocco J. Marchegiani in 2017; and two brothers, Thomas and Michael Rafferty.
Survivors include: two devoted daughters, Karen Argieri and her husband, Joseph of Nutley and Donna Drexler and her husband, John of Clifton; two dear grandsons, Louis Argieri and his wife, Kristen and Matthew Drexler; and her two loving twin great-granddaughters, Gianna and Lucia Argieri.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Agnes R.C. Church, 681 Main Street, Paterson, NJ. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s New Jersey, 425 Eagle Rock Avenue, #203, Roseland, NJ 07068.
