June Carol Lombardo

June Carol Lombardo, 71, passed away on March 17, 2022 in Coral Springs, Florida.

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, “Junie” was the first born to parents, Joseph and Bertha Slodyczka.  June was raised in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. Childhood summers were spent at the family bungalow, downstate in Ortley Beach.

June was a graduate of Memorial High School and  studied beauty science at the Capri Institute of hair design. During this time, She took ballroom dance classes at Arthur Murray School of Dance and was selected as a semi-finalist in the 1974’s official Miss America Pageant Preliminaries. This experience led her to enroll at the Expressions of the Dance studio, where she furthered her dance repertoire by taking adult tap and jazz classes.

June moved to Coral Springs, Florida where she began her 45 year dual career as a loving mother to her son Robert and an independent Insurance agent and financial advisor. 

June was a self-starter and a lifelong learner and while Robert went to school, she continued education / training courses to expand her knowledge in several fields. She enjoyed  advocating for others as well as serving as a role model to her son. 

Robert was her shining star. Anyone who knew June, knew that to be true.

June was known to take long walks in the Coral Springs community. She strived to show appreciation to those who made an impact to her life. Family, friends, neighbors and employees to the business or services she frequented were all worth the walk.

June was dedicated to her friends and family that span from New Jersey, down to Miami, Florida and over to Palm Springs, California. Her loyalty shined through her advocacy for those who needed her wisdom when faced with a personal challenge. She adored her dogs, Billy and Lady. June leaves behind, her son, Robert Lombardo II and his fiance Kathryn Bauer, her younger sister, Elaine Slodyczka, and her younger brother, Denis Slodyczka.  June was predeceased by her former husband, Robert Lombardo.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, 3/30/2022 8:45 AM followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at St. Anne R..C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410. Private cremation to follow.   Please visit www.bizubquinlan.com for driving directions and online condolences.
