June (nee Jancio) Sudol, 78, of Clifton passed away peacefully on September 2, 2022.
Born in Passaic, June was a lifelong resident of Clifton with the exception of a few years where she lived on Naval bases with her husband in Florida and then Georgia while he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. She was a graduate of Pope Pius XII High School in Passaic and then went to Holy Name School of Nursing, graduating in 1964. Prior to retiring, June was a Registered Nurse at Passaic General hospital, now St. Mary’s General Hospital, in Passaic for over forty-five years. She worked on every floor while there but mostly spent her time working in Recovery, especially towards the end of her career. A very religious and faithful woman, June was a longtime parishioner and Sunday school teacher at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church in Clifton and more recently had attended masses at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, also in Clifton. Next to her family, her faith meant everything to her. She was loved by many and was an extremely generous woman, always putting other’s needs before her own. She loved to sing and was the best mom two daughters could have ever asked for and was the dearest friend to them both.
June was predeceased by her beloved and dearly missed husband of fifty-four years, Walter E. “Wally” Sudol, who passed away only six weeks before her on July 21, 2022 and by their cherished daughter, Karen A. Sudol, on June 30th, 2022 just three weeks before her father. June was also predeceased by her loved and missed parents, John and Sophie (nee Serafin) Jancio.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Alyson Sudol, of Clifton as well as by her dear brother-in-law, Rev. Gerard Sudol, of Hawley, PA.
Visiting will be Friday September 9th from 2-4pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton immediately followed by a funeral mass at 4:30pm at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. All services will end at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org), P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516 would be appreciated. Please visit www.bizubquinlan.com to leave online condolences on the Tribute Wall of June’s obituary page.
