Karen P. Novaco Selimi

Karen Patricia Novaco Selimi, 59, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who passed away on October 15th, 2023 surrounded by those who loved her most. Karen was a beautiful person, inside and out. She had a vibrant personality that could light up any room. Karen was kind, loyal, and cared deeply for others. She loved to travel and dance. Spending time with her or just talking on the phone with her was absolutely magical.

Karen was born on June 23, 1964 to Louis P. Novaco and Viola S. Cosentino Novaco in Passiac, NJ. She is predeceased by her brother, Louis Novaco. She met her loving husband, Bujar Selimi, in Clifton at Ashley’s 36 years ago, and they were married for 32 years. She was Bujar’s “IT Girl.” She is also survived by her children, Frank M. Barbuto Novaco, Auriela V. Selimi Laue, Ariana K. Selimi, Louis B. Selimi, son-in-law, Daniel P. Laue, brother, Robert Novaco, sister-in-law, MaryKay Novaco, grandsons, Cristiano Barbuto and Alessio Barbuto, nieces and nephews, and canine companions, Benjamin, Milano, Ottavio, and Francois. 

Services will be held at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, NJ on Thursday, October 19th from 10 am-12 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Eleventh Hour Rescue. Karen loved helping animals. She will forever be missed.
