Kathleen Lauber Obituary

Kathleen Lauber (formerly Kos), 73, of Clifton passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020. She was born in Passaic in 1946 and grew up and lived in Clifton her entire life. She was a graduate of Clifton High School and after, attended Secretarial school in New York City. She was an employee of the Clifton Boys Club during the 1980’s and then went on to work at The Herald News for over thirty years. Kathleen had a love for drum corps activity and had been on the support team for the Hawthorne Caballeros since 1985. In the many years she was involved with the Drum Corps, Kathy (and her late husband, Joe) made countless friends that turned into “family”. So many to name especially the youngest ones of them all: Logan, Brady, Austin and Hudson.

Kathy was predeceased by her beloved husband of forty-four years, Josef Lauber, in 2011 as well as by her parents, Val and Ann Kos.

She leaves behind many family and friends: her son Ronald, his wife Gwyn Crosson and their daughter, her cherished granddaughter Carrington; Kathleen’s daughter Sheryl and “granddog” Maggie; her brother Richard Kos of Clifton and his wife, Paula and their daughter, Kathy’s niece and Goddaughter, Christina. Also left behind are Karl and Lori Lauber of Manasquan and Jackie, Mike and Jack.

Mom- you will be greatly missed by so many. May you rest in peace…Until we meet again.
