Kenneth Edward Phalon, 61, of Paterson, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020.
Kenny was a gentle soul, who saw the good in everyone he met. Kenny had many friends throughout his life and to know him, was to love him. His generous ways and his sense of humor will be dearly missed by all.
Born in Passaic, Kenny resided in Paterson for most of his life. He graduated from Passaic County Technical and Vocational High School, in Wayne, NJ. Before retirement which was due to health issues, he was employed as manager of Mike’s Feed Farm in Totowa for many years. Kenny loved animals, especially cats, and would take care of any stray kittens that he came upon.
In his youth, Kenny was an avid bowler, and belonged to area bowling leagues. He had aspirations of becoming a professional bowler until health became an issue.
Kenny and his family had been parishioners of the former St. George R.C. Church in Paterson, and he also attended St. George Elementary School.
He was predeceased by his parents, Richard M. Phalon, Sr. and Loretta Ann (nee Blakely) Phalon.
Survivors include: two brothers, Richard M. Phalon, Jr. and his wife, Cindy and Roy Phalon and his wife, Jane; two nephews, Patrick and Connor Phalon; one niece, Janelle Phalon; his beloved cousin, Delores Stanton Vargas and his godmother, Dorothy Stanton Murphy. He is survived by his three aunts, Mary Phalon, Rose Kirwan and Monica Phalon. Kenny also leaves cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
Services are private. A public Memorial Service will be planned in the future once COVID-19 restrictions are eased.
