Krystyna (Zaczek) Wojewoda

Krystyna (nee Zaczek) Wojewoda, 70, of Elmwood Park, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 16, 2024.

            Born in Lomza, Poland, Mrs. Wojewoda was raised in Piatnica, Poland and came to the United States in December of 1995, settling in Valley Stream, NY. After a year, she and her family moved to Queens, NY where she lived for a number of years before then settling in Elmwood Park five years ago. Krystyna was a homemaker who loved her family, loved nature, enjoyed sewing and writing poetry and had plans to begin writing a book about her cherished family. She also enjoyed travelling, especially to her beloved home country Poland.

            Mrs. Wojewoda was predeceased by her loved and missed parents, Marian and Jadwiga (nee Gawiuk) Zaczek and by her dear brother, Andrew Zaczek.

            She is survived by her beloved husband, Zbigniew Wojewoda, of Elmwood Park; her three loving and devoted children: Arkadiusz Wojewoda and his wife, Monika, of Queens, NY, Agnieszka Dent and her husband, Adrian, of West Milford and Sylwia Ghoting and her husband, Emil, of Wayne; five cherished grandchildren: Oliver Wojewoda, William and Brigitte (Gigi) Dent and Stefania and Scarlett Ghoting; and by her dear sister, Wieslawa of Queens, NY.

            Visiting will be Friday from 4-8pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Saturday morning beginning with a prayer at the funeral home at 9:15am followed by a funeral mass at 10:00am at Holy Rosary RC Church, 6 Wall Street, Passaic. Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, South Hackensack.
