Lan C. (nee Chow) Lenn, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026 at the age of 100.
Born on May 9, 1925, in Quangdong, China, Lan was raised there and came to the United States in 1948, settling in Manhattan where she has resided since. Those who knew her will remember a person who gave generously of herself and who met life’s challenges with grace and dignity.
Lan built a life centered on family, hard work, and love, working as a seamstress throughout her career before retiring. Through her work, she contributed not only with her hands, but also with her heart and with the quiet pride of someone who understood the value of craftsmanship.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Lenn, and her grandson, Jason Lenn. Lan and Johnny shared a life rooted in commitment and family. Lan’s memory now lives on through her children, Howard Lenn and his wife, Lisa, of Manalapan, NJ; Jerry Lenn and his wife, Wanda, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and Jane Lenn and her husband, Arlen, of Palos Verdes Estates, CA; Dana Lenn and his wife, Bena, of Old Tappan, NJ. She also leaves behind her 9 grandchildren (Misty Korn, Rebecca Fittipaldi, Elizabeth Decker, Chris Lenn, Hope Millman, Christopher Lenn, Nicole Lenn, Kaitlyn Lenn) and 9 great-grandchildren (Corey Lenn, Jacqueline Korn, Jared Korn, Jonathan Korn, Isabella Lenn, Christian Fittipaldi, Isabella Fittipaldi, Fritz Decker, Anders Decker), each of whom will always carry a part of her story and her values in their hearts.
As her family remembers her, Lan C. Lenn will be honored not only for the years she lived, but for the example she set. She leaves behind a legacy of resilience, compassion and love and her memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to her family.
