Leonel F. Sotomayor

Leonel “Leo” F. Sotomayor, 56, of Clifton, NJ, passed away on May 10, 2022. Born in Lima, Peru he came to the United States with his family when he was four years old. Settling in Paterson where he resided until moving to Clifton eleven years ago. Leonel was an Audio-Visual Manager at Tri Tech Communications, NY. He loved animals, sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Rangers fan, enjoyed grilling, was an amazing storyteller, his humor was infectious and you always had a good laugh when you were around him, and truly enjoyed his job. He also loved old black and white western movies and was a huge Marlon Brando fan. To know Leo was to love him.

He is predeceased by his parents, Leonel E. and Beatriz L. (nee Oblitas) Sotomayor; and his sister, Laura Sotomayor.

He is survived by his wife the former Maribel Rodriguez; his sister, Beatriz “Betty” Sotomayor; his niece, Valentina Carbotti; and his babies, Oreo, Mini and Daisy.  

Visiting hours Tuesday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Mass Wednesday 10:00 am at St. Brendan R.C. Church, cor. of Crooks avenue and Lakeview Avenue, Clifton. Please Meet at Church. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
