Loretta Theresa (Boska) Kollet

Loretta Theresa (nee Boska) Kollet, 87, of Wayne, formerly of Clifton, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023.  Born in Passaic, Mrs. Kollet resided in Clifton for most of her life. Before retirement, she was employed as a secretary and enjoyed being a homemaker.

What brought Loretta most happiness in her life was her three daughters and their husbands, eight grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. She loved them all with her entire heart and soul. Loretta and her husband, Ron (Ronnie) married June 1, 1957. Their years together were very happy ones filled with so many things they enjoyed doing together, especially going to the Sparhawk Resort in Maine. Also, later they enjoyed many bus trips.  All were happy enjoyable trips with happy memories for them together.

Loretta was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald P. Kollet in 2022; her parents, Joseph and Vilma (nee Torok) Boska; and her siblings, Joseph Boska, Jr., Margaret Gombash and Dorothy Kiernan.

Survivors include: her three devoted daughters, Lori Gabel and her husband, Joseph, Sharon Kollet and her husband, Philip Hummel and Linda Stauffer and her husband, Greg; eight grandchildren, David Gabel and his wife, Carrie, Ryan Gabel and his wife, Kelly, Ashley Hummel, Brett Hummel, Matthew Stauffer, Christopher Stauffer, Jake Stauffer and Cole Stauffer; and two great-granddaughters, Ellie and Jasey Gabel.

Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 am at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton followed by a 12:00 noon Mass at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton, NJ 07013. The burial will be private for the family only. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church.
