Lorraine (nee Payton) McKee, 97, of Paterson passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully on Sunday December 1, 2024.
Born and raised in Passaic, Mrs. McKee had lived there and then in Clifton before moving to Paterson forty-six years ago. Prior to retiring in 1990, she had been employed as an Administrative Assistant with New Jersey Bank in Woodland Park throughout her career. In retirement, she worked as a Secretary with the Passaic County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Prevention for ten years. Mrs. McKee was a faithful parishioner of St. Brendan RC Church in Clifton where she was a member and President of the Rosary Society and also helped run the bingo nights. She enjoyed going to the casinos andLOVED her weekly Friday shopping trips to JC Penney which she did for years and years however above all else, time spent with her family was her greatest joy.
Mrs. McKee was predeceased by her loved and deeply missed husband, Peter McKee as well as by her dear siblings Martin Payton, Jr. and Marie Hedzima.
She is survived by her two loving and devoted children: Daniel McKee and his wife, Joan, of Bellmawr and Maureen Bottiglieri and her husband, Frank, of Hasbrouck Heights; by her four loved grandchildren: Jillian Simeone and her husband James, Michael McKee and his wife Emma, Joseph Bottiglieri and his wife Allison and Alyssa Bottiglieri; and by her seven cherished great-grandchildren: Dominic Simeone, Elliana Simeone, Gianna Bottiglieri, Iris McKee, Livia Bottiglieri, Ella Bottiglieri and Ashley McKee. She will be dearly missed by them all.
Visiting will be Wednesday from 3-7pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Thursday 9:15am from the funeral home and 10:am at St. Brendan RC Church, cor. Lakeview & Crooks Avenues, Clifton. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
