Louise Marie Giostra, 94, of Clifton, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022. Born and raised in Paterson, Louise resided in Clifton for over 70 years. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Clifton where she was a member of the women’s bowling league for many years and a former member of the Rosary Society. Louise loved to play Bingo and in earlier years go to Las Vegas and Atlantic City with her husband and sister, Geri.
Louise was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Gennaro Tarantino; her beloved husband, Michael Giostra in 2013 and sisters, Grace DeStefano, Millie Taylor and Nancy Tregaskis.
Survivors include: her devoted children, Michele Cirasuolo and her son, Michael Giostra and his wife, Laura; one sister, Geri Mendillo; her four loving grandchildren, Tracy Cirasuolo, Ralph Cirasuolo, Lindsey Giostra and Michael Wm. Giostra; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave, Clifton. Funeral Mass will be Friday 11:00 am at St. Philip R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Please meet at church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box, 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
