Margaret E. "Peg" (Zechmeister) Frederickson

Margaret E. Frederickson (nee Zechmeister) better known to family and friends as “Peggy” passed away on November 17th, 2021.

Peggy was the only daughter of Margaret and John Zechmeister. Born in Passaic and raised in Garfield, she spent most of her adult life in Nutley with her husband Clarence (“Bud”) Frederickson and her only son John Drew Frederickson, Esq., all of whom predeceased her.

Peggy graduated from “Pope Pius XII H.S.” in 1949. For a time, she worked in the office of John Royle & Sons until her marriage.

She was an active member of St. Clare Church in Clifton, NJ for over 50 years, where she was a lector and a cantor.

Peggy loved music, was an avid opera buff, enjoyed reading and her favorite hobby was writing poetry. A few of her poems were published.

Her family, especially her son “Jack”, were very important to her and her family Christmas parties at the Paris Inn will be remembered with happy thoughts.

She is survived by cousins, God children and many friends. Peggy will be remembered by all for her kindness and generous and loving heart.

          Visitation will be held Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 22, 2021 at St. Clare R.C. Church, 31 Allwood Road, Clifton followed by the entombment at Calvary Cemetery in Paterson.
