Marie Messineo

Marie Messineo, 98, of Clifton, formerly of Paterson, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021. Born and raised in Paterson, Marie lived there all of her life until moving to Clifton a few years ago. Before her retirement, she was employed as a secretary with Curtiss-Wright Co. of Wood-Ridge for many years.

            Marie was a faithful parishioner of St. Agnes R.C. Church in Paterson. She loved to travel with her sisters and enjoyed spending time with her family.

            She was predeceased by one sister, Helen Van Genderen; and three brothers, Joseph, Frank, and Louis Messineo.

            Survivors include: two sisters, Clara Messineo and Rita Messineo; her loving nieces and nephew, Janet Carlock, Linda Shnyder, Theresa Messineo, Eleanor Novack, Virginia Cheung and Garry Van Genderen; and loving great-nieces and great-nephews.

            Visitation will be held Tuesday morning 8:30 am to 9:30 am at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Agnes R.C. Church, 681 Main Street, Paterson. Facemasks must be worn. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes R.C. Church, 681 Main St., Paterson, NJ 07503.
