Obituary

Arnone – Marilyn (nee McCormack), 88, of Paterson, passed away May 21, 2022.  Born in Paterson, Mrs. Arnone lived in Midland Park as a child, moved back to Paterson as a teen and resided there since. She was a long-time faithful parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. Church in Paterson. Mrs. Arnone was a volunteer for many years at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson and was active in fund raising for Leukemia research.  She was talented at making ceramics and gave them as keepsakes to her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Throughout her life, Mrs. Arnone always enjoyed swimming and ice skating. Mrs. Arnone and her husband were extensive world travelers, visiting Russia, Egypt, Italy and Germany.

          Mrs. Arnone was predeceased by one loving daughter, Marilyn in 1968; her parents, John and Charity McCormack; and eight siblings, Mae Kruse, John “Bud” McCormack, Charity Keating, Don McCormack, Robert McCormack, Gerald McCormack, Malcolm McCormack and Muriel Eggerts.

          Survivors include: her beloved husband, Philip J. Arnone; four devoted children, Angela Crawford and her husband, Steven of Clifton, Patrick Arnone and his wife, Debbie of Hopatcong, NJ, Jean Guellnitz and her husband, Carl of Saylorsburg, PA and Elizabeth Arnone of Maplewood, NJ; eight loving grandchildren, Phillip, Patrick and Ryan Arnone, Steven and Christina Crawford, Joseph and Andrew Guellnitz and Lyla Arnone Green; four adored great-grandchildren, Stella Guellnitz, Elias and Amelia Arnone and Sofia Crawford; three dear siblings, Jeanne Quirk of Panama City, FL, Charles McCormack of Rahway, NJ and Frank McCormack of Middletown, NY; and several beloved nieces and nephews from far and wide.

Visitation Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:15 am Mass at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, 174 Ramsey Street, Paterson. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
