Marlene Joyce (Kilroe) La Duca

Marlene Joyce La Duca, 85, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 1, 1941, in Passaic, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Mary Kilroe. Marlene was raised on Van Winkle Avenue in Passaic, where she lived for most of her life before moving to Clifton 11 years ago.

Marlene was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore La Duca. She was a devoted mother to Christina La Duca, Salvatore La Duca and his wife, Bev Puntolillo, and Brian La Duca and his wife, Maria. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Kylie La Duca and is also survived by her brother, Richard Kilroe. Her family was the center of her life, and she loved them with unwavering devotion.

A longtime parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Passaic, Marlene lived her life with kindness, humility, and faith. She had a gentle spirit and a generous heart, always making others feel welcomed, cared for, and valued.

Marlene enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, creating beautiful drawings and pastel artwork, reading, and working on word-search puzzles. She found joy in both creativity and life's simple pleasures.

She will be remembered as a loving, selfless, and spirited woman whose warmth touched everyone she met. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion to her family will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
