Martin Kemp

Detective Martin Kemp, of Clifton, formerly of Passaic, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023. Born and raised in Passaic, he resided in Passaic for most of his life before moving to Clifton 19 years ago. Before his retirement, Martin served with the City of Passaic Police Department as a Detective. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served honorably during the Viet Nam War.

Detective Kemp was a member of Passaic PBA Local #14, New Jersey Honor Legion, Marine Corps Association and Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. He was a parishioner of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Clifton.

Martin was predeceased by his parents, Martin Kemp, Sr. and Athena (nee Bourlotos) Kemp.

Survivors include: his beloved wife, Shirley Kemp and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 pm and then procession to Crest Haven Memorial Park in Clifton.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. George G.O.
