Mary (Hripak) Adamoyurka

Mary (nee Hripak) Adamoyurka, 96, of Clifton, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022. Born in McAdoo, Pa., Mrs. Adamoyurka came to New Jersey in 1950 and settled in Garfield. She has been a Clifton resident since 1962. Mrs. Adamoyurka was a faithful parishioner of St. Michael’s Cathedral Chapel in Woodland Park.  She was an active member of the Valley Seniors of Clifton and a member of the former Young at Heart Club in Clifton. Mary enjoyed traveling and her many trips to Atlantic City.

            Mrs. Adamoyurka was predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter in 2011; her parents, Johan and Veronica (nee Yuro) Hripak; and five siblings, Elizabeth Rozos, Rose Tolkacz, Julia Chomo, Veronica Pero, Michael Hripak and Joseph Hripak.

            Survivors include: two daughters, Gloria Schwier and her husband, Alan of Inverness, FL and Joan Chromey of Clifton; three grandchildren, Kristofer Schwier and his wife, Jennifer, Sharon Creeden and her husband, John and Michael Chromey and his wife, Alison; and two great-grandchildren, Jack and Joseph Creeden who she adored.

            Visitation will be held 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave, Clifton. Parastas 1:30 pm Sunday. Byzantine Liturgy at St. Michael Cathedral Chapel, 10:00 am Monday, 415 Lackawanna Ave, Woodland Park. Please Meet at the Chapel. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
