MaryGrace (nee Naughton) Matsko, 85, formerly of Clifton, passed away on October 18, 2021 after a brief illness.
Born in Paterson and raised on Stony Road there, Mrs. Matsko had resided in Clifton for most of her life before moving to Hardwick in 2018. Prior to retiring, she had been employed with Bell Telephone in Paterson for many years. She had also served as crossing guard for the City of Clifton at School #12. Mrs. Matsko was a parishioner of St. Paul RC Church in Clifton where she was a member of the Rosary Society and had been a member of the Pioneer Club at Bell Telephone. She was an avid bowler and bowled in different leagues in Clifton at Parkway Lanes and Van Houten Lanes and also enjoyed time spent playing bingo.
Mrs. Matsko was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Matsko; her two dear siblings: Patricia Wamsley and John Naughton; and dearly missed son-in-law, Tim Czilinger.
She is survived by her four loving and devoted children: Robert Matsko and his wife, Marlene, of Lodi, MaryAnn Hayes and her partner, Harry Scherrle, of Blairstown, Lorraine Vandermark and her husband, Crane, of Holly Springs, NC and Patty Czilinger of Hardwick; ten cherished grandchildren: Matthew Schnabel, Christopher Schnabel, Alina Matsko, Kelsea Torres, Brittany Matsko, Alex Lesch, Eric Lesch, Sara Vandermark, Emily Vandermark and Katie Vandermark; and three treasured great-grandchildren: Jace Iozia, Presley Torres and Rayne Vandermark.
Visiting will be Thursday from 4-8pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be Friday 8:45am from the funeral home and 9:30am at St. Paul RC Church, cor. Union Avenue and Second Street, Clifton. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
