Matthew Scott Fitzgerald, 48, of Clifton passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday August 14, 2021.
Born in Hackensack, Matthew was raised in Clifton and had lived there for most of his life. He was employed as Director of Guest Services at The Enclave at Livingston for the past four years. Previously he had been the owner of Fitzgerald’s Harp N Bard, formerly located on Lakeview Avenue in Clifton and was a member of the Emerald Society.
Matthew was predeceased by his deeply missed father, Robert P. Fitzgerald, in 1995.
He is survived by his loving partner, Martha Kotlar, of Clifton; his loved mother, Jill (nee Hrabar) Fitzgerald, also of Clifton; his dear sister, Amanda Decker and her husband, Russell and their children Lily and Patrick, of Saylorsburg, PA; his cherished grandmother, Lorraine Hrabar, of Livingston; his dear uncle Gregory Hrabar of Toms River and his children John and Laura Hrabar; and loved aunt Denise Faherty and her spouse, Pink, of Cape May.
Visiting will be Friday from 4:30-8:30pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Saturday 10:30am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org), Attn: Donor Services, P.O.
