Michael J. Buttel, 47, of Clifton passed away on Wednesday May 21st, 2025 after a brief illness.
Born in Ridgewood, Michael was a lifelong resident of Clifton. He was employed as a Nighttime Electrician with the Wayne Board of Education for the past eight years and had previously worked for Power Home Remodeling for five years and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 102 in Parsippany. Michael was diehard fan of the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Redskins, had coached Clifton Midget League Baseball but time spent with family, especially his wife and their children, was what he loved most.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Susan (nee Koch) Buttel, of Clifton; his two children: Savannah Buttel and Michael Buttel, also both of Clifton; his father, George Buttel and his wife, Carol Ann, of Hardyston; his mother, Victoria, of Arizona; and by his five siblings: Christine Colligan of Clifton, Daniel Buttel of Jefferson, Christopher Buttel of Sparta, Brianna Hagemann of Wantage and Allie Buttel of Hardyston.
Visiting will be on Friday May 23rd from 3-7pm with a Funeral Service to be held during the visitation at 6:15pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.
