Michalena Gordon

Michalena “Mickey” (nee Babyak) Gordon, 78, of Garfield, passed away on August 31, 2020.

            Mrs. Gordon was born in Passaic and then raised in Garfield where she went on to be

 a lifelong resident of the city. Prior to her retirement in 2000, she had been employed as a Legal Secretary with the Law Office of Marcus & Levy in Elmwood Park for twelve years. She loved to bake, especially cookies and pies, and enjoyed crossword puzzle books but above all else, loved her grandchildren and all the joy they brought to her life.

            Mrs. Gordon was predeceased by her beloved and dearly missed husband, Robert D. Gordon, who passed away on January 8th, 2018.

            She is survived by her three loving and devoted daughters: Pamela Mileski and her husband, Kenneth, of Fair Lawn, Sharon Azzolino and her husband, Mark, of Rochelle Park and Sandra Lifschin and her husband, Bryan, of Fair Lawn; by her loved sister, Sr. Cynthia Marie Babyak, C.S.S.F., of Edison; her dear sister-in-law, Joan Murko and her husband, Donald, of Woodland Park; and by her five cherished grandchildren: Kyle and Natalie Mileski, Matthew and Emily Azzolino and Alayna Lifschin.

            Visiting will be Thursday from 5:00-7:30pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:30pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Hackensack Meridian/John Theurer Cancer Center (www.hackensackumc.org/services/cancer-care/), 92 2nd Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601 would be preferred and appreciated.
