Nancy May Bandel, 85, of Hackettstown, formerly of Clifton, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Passaic, Nancy lived in Clifton for over 50 years before retiring to Bolton Landing, New York. She then moved to Springfield, New Jersey and then Hackettstown where she has resided for the last four years.
Before her retirement, Nancy was employed with the Evan Marshall Agency in Montville as an Administrative Assistant. Previous employment was with Caldwell College in the Continuing Education Department for eight years; she served as a Library Assistant at Paul VI High School in Clifton; and worked for Household Finance in Passaic.
Nancy was a faithful parishioner and Lector of Our Lady of the Mountain R.C. Church in Long Valley, New Jersey. She was a former parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton where she served on the Pre Cana team; was a Lector and a Eucharistic Minister. Nancy also was involved with the Cursillo Movement with the Diocese of Paterson.
Survivors include: her beloved husband, Deacon Arthur A. Bandel; three devoted daughters, Amy Ann Bandel, Gerianne Nestman and her husband, Kenneth and Tressa Ann Dombroski and her husband, Charles; four loving grandchildren, Carolyn Nestman and her husband, Luis Alvarado Granados, Rachel VanDusen and her husband, Joshua, Jacob Dombroski and his wife, Mina and Natalie Dombroski; and three dear great-grandchildren, Gianna VanDusen, Colin VanDusen and Eleanor Dombroski.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, NJ. Funeral Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 10:45 am from funeral home followed by an 11:30 am Mass at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton.
