Nancy Claire Malba (née Karpiak), 76, passed away peacefully in her home on September 28th, 2024. Born and raised in Little Falls, NJ, Nancy was the cherished daughter of the late John and Jacqueline Karpiak. She married the love of her life, Michael, in 1968, and they settled in Clifton, NJ, where they built a beautiful life together in their 56 years of marriage.
Nancy was the beloved mother of her sons Michael Malba and his wife Linda, and Vincent Malba. She was the proud grandmother of Celia Malba, whom she adored. Nancy is also survived by her dear sister, Janice Stockman, and a large extended family of nieces and nephews, all of whom she cherished. She was predeceased by her sister Barbara Aungst and her brother Joseph Karpiak.
A woman of many talents, Nancy had a deep passion for crossword puzzles, sudoku, reading, crocheting, and sewing. She often made her own clothes including her own wedding gown. In her younger years she was head twirler at Passaic Valley High School. Nancy worked at the Welfare Board in Passaic County and William Paterson University as a secretary in several different offices, most recently the Biology Dept. Nancy loved to travel, especially to the islands and the Jersey shore. She was a dedicated fan of the New York Yankees and enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and General Hospital. Nancy found great joy in spending time with family and friends, whether going out to eat or preparing delicious meals in her own kitchen.
Above all, Nancy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known for her kindness and unwavering dedication to her family. Her warmth and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
May she rest in peace, forever remembered and loved.
