Nubia Magdalena (nee Navas-Almeida) Perez, 85, of Clifton passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 4th, 2025 in the loving care of her family.
Born and raised in Ibarra, Ecuador, Mrs. Perez came to the United States when she was in her thirties, settling and living in Paterson before moving to Clifton eleven years ago. She was a loving and dedicated homemaker who enjoyed nothing more than cooking for her family and for helping them, especially her grandchildren, in any way needed. Mrs. Perez was an active parishioner of St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Paterson where she was a member of the Charismatic Group and a former member of the Eucharistic Ministry. She enjoyed day trips and picnics in the park and loved spending time on the beach.
Mrs. Perez was predeceased by her three loved and missed brothers: Cristobal, Raul and Alfredo Navas.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Vicente Perez, of Clifton; her four loved children: Monica J. Navas and her husband, Andres, of Paterson, Alex Perez and his wife, Cathy, of Franklin Lakes, Juan Perez and his wife, Olga, of Clifton and Patricio Perez and his wife, Rosalina, of Hawthorne; two dear sisters: Laura Reyes and Blanca Ines Pesantez, both of Ecuador; and by her ten cherished grandchildren: Andres Navas, Jr. and his wife Simone, Stephanie Barragan and her husband Steven, Matthew Perez, Michael Perez, Mark Perez, Ian Carlos Perez, Luciana Perez, Jana Perez, Cristian Perez and Isabella Perez.
Visiting will be Sunday from 2-6pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Monday 9:15am from the funeral home and 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Cathedral, cor. Main Street and Grand Street, Paterson. Cremation to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
