Patricia Macaluso

Patricia A. Macaluso, 70, of Clifton, passed away suddenly Friday, September 29, 2023.  Born in Passaic, Patricia was raised in Clifton, New Jersey where she resided most of her life. Ms. Macaluso spent 50 years in the car industry. She began her career at Leschel Buick, Paterson, NJ then moving to Demarest Chevrolet, Westwood, NJ and finally Multi Chevrolet, Union, NJ retiring as an office manager. Ms. Macaluso was then employed as a Virtual Implementation Consultant for EDS, Inc., CDK, Inc. and then ADP.

Patricia, affectionately known as Pattie, was a gifted artist whose creations were nothing short of extraordinary. Her art reflected her vibrant spirit and her ability to see beauty in the world around her. Every creation sparked the imagination and was a testament to her boundless talent and the depth of her artistic soul.

Pattie had a magical touch in the kitchen, where she transformed simple ingredients into culinary masterpieces. Her cakes were the stuff of legend and anyone who had their own “Pattie Cake” knew this to be true.  Her cookies, pies, and pastries were divine, and no family gathering was complete without a sampling of Pattie's delectable creations.

Her warmth and generosity extended to all who crossed her path, making friends wherever she went. She had a unique ability to make people feel cherished and valued, and her infectious laugh brightened even the darkest days. Pattie had a genuine and enduring love for games, especially canasta. To her, it was more than just a card game; it was a source of connection, laughter, and friendship.

Pattie's love for her family knew no bounds. She was a truly remarkable woman who showered her love, adoration and unwavering devotion upon her nieces and nephews, creating a bond that will forever be cherished. To them, she was a devoted friend, mentor, and confidant. Her legacy as the best, most adored, coolest aunt will continue to inspire them.

Ms. Macaluso was predeceased by her dearly missed parents, Anthony and Margaret (nee Santangelo) Macaluso; her brother, Leonard Macaluso; and one niece, Karen McCombs.

She is survived by her sister, Linda Insinga and her husband, Thomas of Woodland Park; two dear nieces, Kristine Hodson and her husband, John and Jenifer Carvelli and her husband, John, both of Montvale; a nephew, Keith Macaluso of Clifton; and three cherished great-nephews, Nicholas, Thomas and Matthew.
