Paula Fiorito Obituary

Paula June Fiorito, 75, of Clifton, passed away on May 4, 2026. She was a loving, funny, and spirited woman whose warmth and presence brought joy to her family and all who knew her.

Born on May 13, 1950, in Paterson, NJ, Paula was the daughter of the late Chester Malinski and Pauline (nee Gillen) Malinski. She was a lifelong Clifton resident and carried with her throughout her life the values, friendships, and strong sense of community that shaped her years there. Paula was also predeceased by her beloved sister, Maureen Vaxmonsky.

Paula is survived by her devoted husband, Anthony Fiorito; her daughter, Dina Fanelli, and her husband, Marc; her cherished grandchildren, Deanna and A.J. Fanelli; her brother, Chester Malinski; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a great-great-nephew. Her family was the center of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Nothing meant more to Paula than those closest to her and she ensured you knew that you were loved by her.

Before her retirement, Paula was employed as a manager with Platronic Seals in Clifton, where she dedicated 35 years of faithful service. She was respected by her coworkers for her reliability, her strong work ethic, and her ability to handle responsibilities with grace. Paula took pride in her work and in the relationships she built over the years, and she left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Paula was a faith-filled person who attended Mass at The Holy Face Monastery and St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church, both in Clifton. Her faith was an important part of her life and provided her with comfort, strength, and guidance. She was also a supporter of Catholic Charities in Paterson, reflecting her generous spirit and her concern for others. Paula lived her beliefs through kindness, compassion, and a sincere desire to help where she could.

Those who knew Paula will remember her for her loving nature, her quick wit, and her spirited personality. She had a way of making others feel welcome and at ease, and her sense of humor could brighten even the most ordinary day.  Paula also had a competitive streak.  Whether it was baking or cooking, couponing, game playing, or decorating, tending to her farm on Farmville, her goal was to be the best, and the best she was.   Paula will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Paula June Fiorito leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, faith, and laughter. Her life was a gift to her family and to her community, and she will be remembered with great affection and gratitude.
