Pauline "Woozie" Pater, a beacon of kindness and creativity, passed away at the age of 93 on April 9, 2024, in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. Born on April 28, 1930, in Passaic, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Steven and Frances (nee Frankowitk) Natisak and was predeceased by her loving husband Walter Pater, her daughter Dale D. Schupner, her brother Steven Natisak, and her parents.
Woozie, as she was affectionately known, spent her early years designing shoes for Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, showcasing her artistic talent and eye for fashion. Later, she continued her professional journey at Clifton City Hall as a secretary, where her warmth and thoughtfulness touched the lives of many.
A high school graduate, Pauline's love for art permeated every aspect of her life, enriching her relationships and hobbies. Her loving, kind, and thoughtful nature made her a cherished member of her community and a joy to all who knew her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories with her cousins, Cathy Robertson, Eileen Gaffney, Joanne Gaffney, Thomas Gaffney, Jeanne Firuta, and her dear friend Thomas J. Siso, Sr. Pauline's passing marks the end of an era, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
