Peter Glita Obituary

Peter Glita, 88, of Clifton, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in Passaic, NJ. Peter was born and raised in Passaic and resided there until going into the U.S. Army. After his Honorable Discharge from the Army he resided in Clifton for the rest of his life. He was a Police & Fire Dispatcher for the City of Clifton for twenty-six years before retiring. He then went to work for Clorox, Parsippany, NJ for fifteen years until they relocated to Georgia and he retired once again.

Peter enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. He was a faithful parishioner of Ss. Peter and Paul R.O. Cathedral, Passaic and was a member of the Clifton Athenia Veterans.

He is predeceased by his parents, Peter and Helen (nee Marko) Glita; and one sister, Marian Glita.

He is survived by his wife the former, Ruth M. Orlovsky; one sister, Eleanor Paciulli; five nephews and nieces, Scott, Kristin, Robyn, Phillip and Michael.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Mass 10:00 at Saturday at Ss. Peter and Paul R.O. Cathedral, 200 Third Street, Passaic, NJ 07055. Please meet at Church. Interment to follow at Ss. Peter and Paul R.O. Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or to Ss. Peter and Paul R.O.
