Raymond E. Obssuth, 88, of Garfield, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2021.
Raymond was born in Passaic and resided in Garfield his entire life. He was employed at Pioneer Catering, Garfield before becoming Self-Employed. Mr. Obssuth was a faithful member of Holy Apostles Eastern Orthodox Church, Saddle Brook, NJ. Ray was a proud United States Air Force Veteran.
He was predeceased by his wife of sixty-five years, Mary (nee Bondaruk) Obssuth, April 20, 2021; by his parents, Andrew and Elizabeth (nee Kovacs) Obssuth; and a brother, Andrew Obssuth.
He is survived by two children, Raymond K. Obssuth and his wife, Donna and Karen Mandell and her B.F.F., Linda Rick; three grandchildren, Justin Obssuth and his wife, Taryn, Brian Obssuth and his wife, Sonia and Heather Obssuth and her partner, Richard Serpineto; three great-granddaughter’s, Isabella, Eliza and Sylvie; one sister, Lorraine Dino; and one brother, Eugene Obssuth and his wife, Beverly.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Parastas at 7:30 pm. Funeral Service Thursday at 9:45 am from the Funeral Home. Funeral to follow at 10:30 am from Holy Apostles Eastern Orthodox Church, 17 Platt Avenue, Saddle Brook. Interment to follow St. Peter’s Greek Catholic Cemetery, Garfield.
