Renato Reynosa Viray, 79, of Clifton, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023. Born in Alaminos, Pangasinan, Philippines, Renato lived there all of his life before coming to the United States in 2012. He initially worked as a public school teacher, just like his father, but later on was promoted as a superintendent with the Philippine Department of Education where he was employed for 50 years. Renato enjoyed playing basketball, tennis and chess. He was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle R.C Church in Clifton.
Renato is survived by his beloved wife, Corazon; his four children, Correne V. Orden and her husband Edwin, Renato C. Viray, Jr. and his wife Margarita, Angeli C. Viray and her husband Ricardo, and Michael C. Viray; five grandchildren, John, Kobe, Dwayne, Nicky and Patrick. Renato was the eldest of ten children.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church, 400 Mt. Prospect Avenue, Clifton.
