Richard Stanley Chrzastek, 67, a resident of Clifton his entire life, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022 after succumbing with fighting a courageous battle of cancer. He was a true hero all he had endured battling the cancer various times and it did not define him despite all of his challenges.
Richard graduated Clifton High School in 1973 and then had started his career at New Jersey Bell on Crooks Avenue in Clifton. He worked in the Engineering Dept. and was later transferred to Parsippany and was with Lucent Technologies where he finished his 24-year career there as a very dedicated employee.
In Richard’s spare time, he enjoyed bicycle riding, playing basketball, attending many concerts, working on his cars, loved watching sports, esp. the Giants and the Yankees. He was an avid collector of thousands of record albums as well. He was a very quiet meek man with strong family values being a dedicated son to his parents, esp. to his mother after his father’s passing almost 25 years ago. He enjoyed attending the many family functions on both the Italian and Polish sides as well. Richard was blessed having so many wonderful cousins, aunts and uncles all throughout his life. That is what contented his heart with just seeing everyone.
Richard is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his two loving sisters, Carol LoRe and her husband, Lenny of Brick, NJ and Barbara Flowers of Hamburg, NJ; a nephew, Eric LoRe; and two nieces, Erica and Christina Flowers.
