Richard S. Hornik, 73, of Highland Lakes, New Jersey passed away April 18, 2021. Born and raised in The Bronx, New York, Mr. Hornik resided in Clifton for many years before moving to Highland Lakes in 1994. Before his retirement, Mr. Hornik was employed as a District Foreman with Public Service Electric and Gas of Oradell.
Mr. Hornik was a proud veteran of the United States Army having served in Germany during the Vietnam War Era. He was a member of the Hardyston Seniors Club, the St. Jude’s Seniors Club, the Sussex County Over 50 Club and the Vernon Leisure Club.
He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (nee Timoldi) Hornik in 2007; and two brothers, Robert and Anthony Hornik.
Survivors include: his son, Keith Hornik and his wife, Maudeania of Easton, PA and their children, Sally, Jagger and Winston and his daughter, Tracy Crum and her husband, Bartley of Highland Lakes, NJ and their children, Claude, JoyceLyn and Henrik; one sister, Joan Brennan and one brother, Frank Hornik.
Visitation will be held Friday morning at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a 1:00 pm service. Interment to follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson. Facemasks must be worn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38501.
