Robert R. Cuny, 77, of Howell, formerly of Wyckoff, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday May 11th, 2024.

​Born in Passaic, Mr. Cuny was raised in Rutherford and then lived in West Paterson and briefly in Clifton before settling in Wyckoff for over thirty years. For the past six years, he has resided in Howell. He earned an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University and pursued his Master’s degree at Steven’s Institute of Technology. Early employment had been with Bendix, Graphic Scanning and Telecom Italia but he spent the majority of his career as a Program Systems Developer with Western Union in Upper Saddle River prior to retirement.

​Mr. Cuny was predeceased by his loved and missed parents, Julien Edward Cuny II and Dorothy (nee Makholm) Cuny.

​He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara (nee Maziarski) Cuny, of Howell; by his two loving daughters: Lisa Ann Smith and her husband, Andrew, of Bermuda and Kristin Ann Kollberg and her husband, Micke, of Sweden; three dear siblings: Jeanne Thorne of Westfield, Julien Edward (Jay) Cuny of Spring Lake Heights and Donald Cuny of Manasquan; and by his five cherished grandchildren: Isla, Harrison, Tessa, Carter and the newborn to the family, Avery.

​Visiting will be Thursday morning from 11:00am-1:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
