Robert D. Klingler

Robert D. Klingler, 63, of Clifton, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023.  Born in Passaic, Robert was a lifelong resident of Clifton. Before his retirement in 2011, Robert served as a Police Officer for the City of Clifton for 26 years. He also owned and operated Robert’s Lock and Key Shop in Clifton for many years.

Robert was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton. He was a member of the Clifton Police Benevolent Association Local #36 and the Associated Locksmiths of America.

Robert was predeceased by his beloved parents, Edward A. and Helen C. (nee Lehmkuhl) Klingler; and one brother, Edward Klingler.

Survivors include: his beloved wife, Rose Ann (nee Angeli) Klingler; his devoted son, Robert C. Klingler; his siblings, Joanne Bennett (Dean), Michael Klingler (Leslie) and Thomas Klingler (Joseph Greenhall); his nieces and nephews, Nicole Klingler, Jason Klingler, Kevin Klingler, Heather Hartland, Jason Hartland, William McKenzie and Elizabeth McKenzie; his mother-in-law, Elisabeth Angeli; his brother-in-law, Frank Angeli and his sister-in-law, Barbara McKenzie (Fred).

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm and Monday, March 27, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 10:45 am from the funeral home followed by an 11:30 am Mass at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Private cremation to follow.
