Robert Martin

Robert Martin, 81, of Clifton, passed away suddenly at home on August 7, 2023. Born in Jersey City, Bob was raised in North Bergen where he lived for many years before moving to Clifton 45 years ago. Before his retirement, Bob was employed with St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton as the Maintenance Director.         

Bob was a faithful parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church where he served as past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Msgr. Stein Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rose (nee Aitken) in 2018 and his siblings, Mary Becker, John Martin and James Martin.         

Survivors include: three devoted children, Donna Mangone (Nicholas), Robert Martin (Paula) and Keith Martin (Erica); six loving grandchildren, Nicholas Mangone (Bri), Jillian Mangone, Grace Martin, Liam Martin, Kyrie Giordano (Anthony) and Chloe Matera; two loving great-grandchildren, Dominick and Serafina Mangone; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Please meet at church.
