Robert Zibyock, 82, of Woodland Park, NJ passed away on April 8, 2022. He was born and raised in Clifton to Nicholas H. Zibyock and Mary Russin Zibyock. He married his beloved wife, Grace Zibyock who shared a beautiful life for the past fifty-four years.
Among his many careers worth remembrance was his service to the U.S. Army; He worked with the Central Railroad Company of N.J. for six years and ran Aquarian Newspaper with his partner for 15 years. He was well-travelled across Europe and possessed a wealth of experience.
Robert worked for social causes and was a member of the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel. He volunteered at the Van Vleck House in Montclair helping kids connect with nature, where he was very much loved. Robert also volunteered with the Hospice Care Program at St. Barnabas where he touched the lived of many in need of care and companionship.
In addition to his beloved wife, Grace, Robert is survived by a brother, Nicholas P. Zibyock and his wife, Nancy of California; a nephew, Donald Lahner, many others nieces and nephews and other extended family.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. A Byzantine Liturgy will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Michael Chapel, 415 Lackawanna Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. Interment to follow at Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
