Rocco Marano

Rocco Marano, 86, of Clifton, passed away June 10, 2024. Born in Vaccarizzo Albanese, Italy, Mr. Marano came to the United States in August of 1969. He resided in Clifton for most of his life. Before retirement, he was employed as a shoemaker with S. Goldberg and Co. in Hackensack. Mr. Marano enjoyed tending to his garden.  He also enjoyed making homemade wine, sausage, soppressata and prosciutto.  He was the life of the party and his family was his greatest joy in life.

He was predeceased by one daughter, Andrea; his parents, Vincenzo and Vincenzina (nee Martino) Marano; his brother, Rafaelle Marano; and two sisters, Mariagiuseppe Godino and Rosetta Martino.

Survivors include: his beloved wife, Gina (nee Barca) Marano; his devoted daughter, Ann Tomesko and her husband, Kenneth; three loving grandchildren, Ashley Beckman and her husband, Kirk, Michael Tomesko and Vera Gina Christensen and her husband, Jack; and four dear great-grandchildren, Brennan, Dylan, Jameson and Jackie.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 17, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 9:15 am from the funeral home and 10:00 am at St. Paul R.C. Church, 124 Union Avenue, Clifton. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Please omit flowers.
