Rocke La Bozetta

Rocke La Bozetta, 78, of Wanaque, NJ passed away peacefully on January 8, 2022 after a brief illness.  Born in Passaic, he lived in Clifton and Fair Lawn for most of his life before moving to Wanaque.  Rocke was an alumnus of Fair Lawn High School (Class of 1960), New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Stevens Institute of Technology.  He joined The Okonite Co. in Passaic and also worked in Ramsey, before staying in Paterson where he retired after 55 years.  He was a member of IEEE, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.  Rocke was an amateur historian, avid book and coin collector, and a seasoned traveler.  Some of his favorite trips included going to the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, and Italy.  He was most proud of his family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Rocco and Rosalie La Bozetta (née Attenello) and uncles Angelo, Joseph and Preston Attenello.  He is survived by his beloved children: son Antony La Bozetta and his wife Jessica of Clifton, NJ and daughter Amanda La Bozetta of Fair Lawn, NJ, his brother, Daniel La Bozetta and his wife Elizabeth (Jeanie) of Columbus, OH and his sister Grace Kecmer and her husband Robert of Middletown, NJ.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families, in addition to his longtime companion Fern Weil.

The family would like to thank the staff at both Oakland Rehab Center in Oakland, NJ and Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ for their loving care and support.
