Ronald F. Doyle of Clifton, NJ, age 91, passed away on September 16, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ron was born on March 6, 1933 in Jersey City, NJ and graduated from Nutley High School in 1951. He resided in Clifton for the past 64 years. At age 18, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and went on to fight in the Korean War with the 7th Marine Regiment. He was an active member of American Legion Post 279 in Lincoln Park and V.F.W. Post 7165 in Clifton.
Ron was employed at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Newark for 42 years as a lab technician. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work and dedication.
Ron was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid sports fan especially of the New York Giants and Mets. Ron also loved playing softball, bowling and coaching little league baseball.
In his free time, Ron loved gardening, attending to his Koi pond and socializing with friends and family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marcia, his children, Kevin Doyle (Robin), Wendy Pope (Mike), Mark Doyle (Kathy) and Jeff Doyle. He is also survived by three loving grandchildren, Megan Doyle, Kelly Doyle and Kaitlyn Doyle and his niece Lauren Lago (John).
Friends may call Thursday, September 19 from 5 – 8 PM at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, NJ. Relatives and friends are also invited to attend the funeral service at Bizub-Quinlan on Friday, September 20 at 10:30 AM. Repast to follow at 12 PM.
