Ronald P. Keossy, known affectionately as Ron to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, in his hometown of Hackensack, New Jersey. Born on March 28, 1950, to Lee and Nancy Keossy (nee Ciuppa), Ron was a lifelong resident of Lodi, NJ, where he was deeply rooted in the community and touched the lives of many with his friendly and gentle nature.
Ron's was a regular attendee at the Garfield Senior Center, where he developed many friendships. He attended St. Joseph R.C. Church in Lodi and participated in the Knights of Columbus in Lodi, where he found fellowship and purpose.
Ron's professional life was as interesting and varied as he was. With a passion for the sport of golf, he made a career as a golf instructor, sharing his expertise and love for the game at several prestigious clubs, including Delray Beach Country Club in Florida, O'Keefe's Driving Range in Cedar Grove, NJ, the Stanwich Club in Greenwich, CT, Highlands Golf Club in Garrison, NY, and Overpeck Golf Course in Teaneck, NJ. His knowledge and affable nature made him a favorite among students and peers alike.
Later in life, Ron transitioned to working as a driver with Enterprise Rental Car, where his reliability and friendly demeanor made him a valued employee. More recently, he served as a parking attendant with Standard Parking at the Meadowlands Complex, where his presence was a bright spot for visitors and coworkers.
Ron's personal interests were as rich and diverse as his professional endeavors. He practiced Buddhism, which enriched his life with peace and compassion, traits that he embodied and shared generously with others. Ron's approach to life was one of kindness and curiosity, always seeking to learn more and connect with those around him.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Nancy Keossy, and his sister, Nancy Ziccardi. Though he leaves behind no immediate family, his memory will be cherished by the countless friends and acquaintances whose lives he touched with his gentle spirit and engaging personality.
