Teresa (nee Coleman) O’Connell, 87, of Clifton passed away peacefully on May 9, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in Cork, Ireland, Mrs. O’Connell came to the United States when she was twenty-four and had lived in Clifton for the last sixty-two years. Prior to retiring, she had been employed as a bus aide with Jordan Bus Transportation. She was a former parishioner of St. George RC Church in Clifton.
Mrs. O’Connell was predeceased by her loved and caring husband, Timothy Joseph O’Connell, who passed away in 1995; by her dearly missed son, Daniel Patrick O’Connell; and by six siblings: Richard, John, Charlie, Patrick, Hannah and Ellen.
She is survived by her two devoted daughters: Teresa O’Connell of Clifton and Eileen Spohler of Montague; three dear sisters: Mary, Bridget and Katherine; six loved grandchildren: Jennifer, Renee, Timothy, Dylan, Kelley and Dan; and two cherished great-grandchildren: Dylan and Anastasia.
Visiting will be Friday from 4-8pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Saturday 8:45am from the funeral home and 9:30am at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, 400 Mount Prospect Avenue, Clifton. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org), 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be preferred and appreciated.
